Responsibilities
- Assesses participant needs and adjusts class curriculum accordingly.
- Adapts programs and routines to meet the needs of individuals and groups for exercise efficiency.
- Participates in the marketing and promotion of fitness classes.
- Helps develop communication and information tools to promote classes and activities.
- Teaches classes and adapts teaching strategies for improved delivery of education based on participant feedback.
- Ensures classes contain applicable supplies and sets up classroom as needed.
- Greets and encourages class members as needed.
- May provide additional materials and information to individuals with specific needs.
Requirements
- Current and applicable 'Group Fitness Certification' (i.e. AFAA, ACE, ISMA, ACSM) or approved specialty fitness certification.
- Pilates Certified Instructor.
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
