About the position

The Fitness Floor Staff at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta is responsible for supervising and maintaining all fitness spaces while providing exceptional customer service to members. This role involves ensuring a safe and healthy environment, assisting members with their needs, and performing various front desk responsibilities. The position requires availability for some evenings and weekends, emphasizing professionalism and member engagement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain all fitness spaces.
• Provide excellent customer service to all members.
• Ensure members abide by Fitness Center rules.
• Perform front desk responsibilities, including monitoring member check-ins and managing fitness towels.
• Respond to all member inquiries, comments, and concerns.
• Assist members with equipment as needed.
• Schedule members for QuickStart Orientation with a Personal Trainer when appropriate.
• Use the Floor Staff checklist to clean all equipment throughout the day.
• Replenish cleaning products as needed.
• Report equipment issues to the Director of Fitness and Manager of Training.
• Ensure all fitness spaces are properly stocked with necessary items for operations and cleanliness.
• Return and store equipment outside of the Fitness Center in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all policies associated with the Employee Handbook & Health and Fitness Safety Manual.

• Knowledge of fitness center operations and safety protocols.
