About the position

The Fire Sprinkler Service Supervisor at Johnson Controls is responsible for overseeing the coordination, execution, and follow-up of service jobs related to fire protection systems. This role involves managing service operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and improving productivity while adhering to safety compliance standards. The supervisor will lead a team of technicians, implement action plans, and maintain effective communication with customers to enhance service delivery and meet branch objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and schedule day-to-day activities of technicians in coordination with the Scheduler.
  • Manage service operations and programs to meet branch objectives in revenue, sales, and margin.
  • Implement plans and processes to maximize market potential and profitability of the service business.
  • Maintain effective customer communications and build solid customer relationships throughout the service process.
  • Ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations and resolve customer complaints promptly.
  • Set fair and manageable territories for technicians and motivate them to achieve assigned goals.
  • Train and mentor technicians and clerical staff on job procedures and CRM systems.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate safety programs and maintain up-to-date employee safety training.

Requirements

  • Understanding of various water-based fire protection systems (Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, Foam systems, and Fire Pumps).
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities, including training and team building.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a supervisory position.
  • Availability for local/regional travel, including nights and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA Degree
  • NICET Level II in Inspection, Testing of Water Based Fire Protection Systems.
