About the position
The Fire Sprinkler Designer is a key role within a reputable fire protection company, responsible for managing fire sprinkler specific projects. This position involves designing and laying out sprinkler systems, coordinating with other building components, and performing hydraulic calculations to ensure effective fire protection solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of fire sprinkler specific projects.
- Design and layout sprinkler systems using specialized CAD software packages.
- Coordinate sprinkler system piping with other building components.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems.
- Read and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Requirements
- NICET I, II, III certification in fire protection engineering or related field.
- Experience in designing and laying out sprinkler systems using CAD software.
- Ability to coordinate piping with other building components.
- Experience in performing hydraulic calculations.
- Project management and estimating experience is a plus.
