About The Position

Doyle Security Services is seeking to hire experienced Fire Life Safety Director's in the Brooklyn area for an Educational Institution. The role involves observing and reporting activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. This includes making periodic tours to check for irregularities, preserving order, and enforcing regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. The position requires the ability to stand for the majority of the workday and to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and guests inside the school. The Director will also establish and maintain good rapport with students, staff, and community members.

Requirements

MUST have Valid F-89, T89
MUST have Valid NY State Security Guard License
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to understand the English language and communicate it effectively in both the verbal and written form.
Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.
Technical working knowledge of building systems.

Nice To Haves

Prior School experience preferred.
School security experience a Plus
Associate or higher degree in a fire/security related field. (Preferred not required)
Protective security experience a plus
CPR Certification

Responsibilities

Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site.
Provide for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
Make periodic tours to check for irregularities.
Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
Provide a safe secure environment for students, staff and guests inside the school.
Establish and maintain good rapport with students, staff and community members.
Monitor hallways, stairwells, toilet facilities, outside facilities, and other public and unsupervised places of the school to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff and the security of the facility.
Assist with fire drills, crises and other emergency building evacuations and situations.
Assist administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.
Update security records, logs, and reports.
Ensure all doors and gates are locked and that all alarms are engaged at designated times.
Assist staff and emergency personnel in handling emergencies and deescalating disruptive situations that may arise on campus.
Assist in daily operational duties as needed.
