About the position
The Fine Wine & Spirits Consultant, Italian Specialist position at Palm Bay International focuses on building and developing sales and distribution of Italian fine wines and spirits in the DC, MD, and VA markets. This role is entirely sales-oriented, requiring the consultant to engage with an assigned customer base and promote the company's portfolio of imported wines and spirits.
Responsibilities
- Solicit, sell and promote Italian wines and spirits to an assigned customer base in DC/MD/VA.
- Cold call to increase the respective account base.
- Educate the trade and consumers about the brands at tastings and events approved by Palm Bay International.
- Sell on the street and handle carrying wine and spirit samples to accounts on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in sales
- Strong working knowledge of wine and spirits
- Imported wine and craft spirits experience is a plus
- Self-motivated
- Current account relationships for wine and spirits required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superior organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high-energy, team-oriented atmosphere
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to speak Italian is preferred.
