About the position

The Financial Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function by administering daily procedures, conducting analyses, and preparing reports. This position supports executive management decision-making through financial analysis, communication of results, and management of the company's financial systems and data.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts and documents complex financial analysis projects.
  • Provides support to the FP&A function as needed.
  • Develops and implements adjustments to working methods.
  • Communicates with others to gather, confirm, and clarify information.
  • Reconciles FMIS (Financial Management Information System) to Accounting General Ledger.
  • Performs monthly management adjustments.
  • Communicates potential data issues in the FMIS system related to reconciliation and trend analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Analysis, Budgeting, or a similar field, or entry-level with strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to research, organize, and analyze financial data.
  • Basic knowledge of financial analysis procedures.
  • Understanding of reconciliation concepts and techniques.
  • Proficient data entry/analysis skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Access).
  • Excel proficiency in Pivot tables and lookups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with teams as well as independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects according to departmental priorities.
  • Comfort with detailed level data and summarizing for senior team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of BI query tools (Power BI, Business Objects, etc.)
