About the position

As a Senior Analyst in the Financial Strategy Group (FSG) at Citi, you will provide strategic corporate finance advice to a diverse range of clients, including corporate, financial institutions, and public sector entities. This role involves working on live client engagements, developing recommendations, and preparing materials that help clients navigate complex financial challenges. You will leverage proprietary analytical tools and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver data-driven insights that enhance Citi's competitive edge in the investment banking sector.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior Banking and Capital Markets officers on client transactions as a junior member of the Investment Banking team.
  • Organize and analyze sophisticated financial data for client proposals and strategic plans.
  • Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials, and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals.
  • Conduct economic and financial research to support client engagements.
  • Evaluate a company's financial performance against industry and market trends.
  • Build complex financial models for valuation purposes.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Data Science, Corporate Finance, or related fields.
  • Series 79 and 63 licenses are required.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, economics, finance, statistics, or another quantitative field.
  • Outstanding record of academic achievement and a genuine interest in finance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Monte Carlo simulations, derivative pricing models, regression analysis, and event studies.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation techniques.
