About The Position

The Financial Solutions Advisor (FSA) Stage I role at Bank of America is a developmental position focused on helping individuals obtain necessary securities industry licenses and develop foundational advisory skills. The program includes dedicated training for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. Upon licensing, trainees learn to acquire, build, and manage client relationships, assess complex financial situations, and provide advice and solutions. The role involves working in a financial center to deliver core banking and investment solutions, with opportunities for progression to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II and beyond within Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy provides ongoing support through dedicated programs, tools, and resources throughout the career journey. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including background checks and registration with the federal registry system, which is a condition of employment.

Requirements

  • Must obtain SIE within 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain Series 7 & 66 within 120 days of hire.
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE).
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience.
  • 63 & 65 accepted, in lieu of 66.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66 licenses within specified timelines.
  • Acquire, build, and manage client relationships.
  • Assess clients' complex financial pictures and guide them with advice and solutions.
  • Humanize financial interactions.
  • Deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions.
  • Provide client care.
  • Grow and deepen relationships within a portfolio of clients (as FSA Stage II).
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice.
  • Deliver client reviews/presentations with confidence.
  • Recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners.
  • Connect clients to solutions provided through Bank of America and Merrill.
  • Register with the federal registry system as required by the SAFE Act.
