About the position
As a Financial Representative Trainee, you will engage in a structured program designed to develop your skills in selling Individual Insurance products. This role combines self-study with hands-on projects, preparing you for a successful career as a Financial Representative. The position offers a starting wage of $16/hour, with the potential for promotion to a Financial Representative with a $36,000 annual base salary plus sales incentives after completing licensing and onboarding requirements.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop skills for providing holistic financial advice.
- Contribute to classroom discussions and participate in goal-setting sessions and progress evaluations.
- Demonstrate sales skills and pass a sales process competency test.
- Gain direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products to clients.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners.
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of product offerings and demonstrate expertise in their features and benefits.
- Oversee the completion of content, proposals, and paperwork flow throughout the field and Home Office.
Requirements
- Ability to successfully achieve criteria of Trainee Program.
- Ability to pass and apply for appropriate insurance licenses within 14 days of entry into the job.
- Must pass the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing.
- Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the work period and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of the Insurance/Financial Services industry, products, and marketing practices.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
