About the position

The Financial Data & Reporting Ops Analyst will play a crucial role in the Wealth Management Tax Operations team, focusing on short form tax reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure timely and accurate submissions to the IRS and state agencies, while collaborating with internal teams to maintain tax compliance. The role demands strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, particularly during the busy tax season.

Responsibilities

• Function as a subject matter expert in short form tax reporting and state reporting.
• Produce short form tax reporting statements and transmit tax data to the IRS and state agencies within regulatory deadlines.
• Update entity service level agreements and communicate tax changes to relevant parties.
• Review entity data and complete complex requests submitted by Front Line Units via Service Request Portal and email.
• Train associates and contractors on tax reporting processes and procedures.
• Maintain procedures and provide quality service and operational support for internal business partners.
• Research changes or new requirements for state and federal tax guidelines to mitigate risk and ensure accurate reporting.
• Complete yearly tax form testing and production validation.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2 years of experience in financial analysis or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
