About the position
Responsible for ensuring that insurance requirements and financial obligations are obtained and/or communicated to patients for collection of elective hospital services prior to date service and/or billing. Responsible for ensuring that insurance requirements and financial obligations are obtained and/or communicated to patients for collection of elective hospital services and physician practices as required prior to date of service and/or billing.
Responsibilities
- Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Secures precertification.
- Completes Insurance Notifications.
- Medical necessity verification.
- Communicates financial responsibility to patients for scheduled procedures.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- PC Skills
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Detailed oriented
- Multi-tasking skills

- One year of medical office/hospital registration/patient accounting experience
