We are currently seeking a Financial Counselor I (Full-Time, Varies Shift) to join our Patient Access / ED Registration team at the Bert Martin’s Champions for Children Emergency Department & Trauma Center. In this important role, you will help ensure a smooth, supportive, and transparent financial experience for patients and families.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years in customer service, financial, or business office setting
- Detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing outstanding service to children and families
Responsibilities
- Gathering and accurately entering patient demographic and insurance information
- Verifying insurance benefits and obtaining prior authorizations
- Clearly explaining insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and financial responsibilities
- Obtaining required signatures and documentation
- Coordinating with physicians, payers, and internal departments as needed
- Providing compassionate, professional customer service in a fast-paced emergency environment
