About the position

The Financial Business Partner (FBP) for Hybrid Cloud Services at Lenovo is a strategic role focused on driving the financial performance of the cloud business unit. This position involves developing financial strategies, managing the full P&L, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the growth and profitability of hybrid cloud services. The FBP will also be responsible for establishing financial processes, evaluating new product investments, and providing insights to senior management to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the growth and profitability of hybrid cloud services.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to incubate new business ideas and drive their successful execution.
  • Design and establish financial processes and controls to ensure efficiency and compliance across the cloud business.
  • Continuously improve existing processes to enhance productivity and financial governance.
  • Evaluate and analyze investment opportunities for new cloud products, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Track and report on the financial performance of new products, providing insights to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
  • Manage the entire P&L for the cloud business, including revenue, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor and analyze top-line and bottom-line performance, identifying trends and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets for the cloud business unit.
  • Provide regular financial reports and insights to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as a financial liaison between the cloud business unit and other departments, including sales, product development, and operations.
  • Communicate complex financial information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess financial risks associated with cloud business operations, developing strategies to mitigate potential impacts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a finance leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance
  • International finance experience
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations
  • Executive experience with SaaS business models and their associated revenue recognition
  • Professional certification (ex: Certified Public Accountant)
