About the position
Ashford (NYSE American: AINC) is a leading provider of asset management and other services to companies within the hospitality industry. Ashford's leadership has a very successful track record and many years of experience investing in and asset managing lodging real estate. This position reports directly to the Senior Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst Intern will be a key member of the Asset Management Analytics and Strategy team where they will gain meaningful industry experience in various financial analysis and strategic roles.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cash flow analysis, return-on-investment (ROI) analysis, and financial projections for key projects
- Collaborate with leaders across the Asset Management Team, including Revenue Optimization, Capital Expenditures, and Asset Management Strategy
- Work with cross-functional teams to collect data and insights essential for financial modeling and strategy implementation
- Assist in updating financial models for quarterly reports based on actual performance and future expectations
- Analyze key hotel metrics to identify trends and performance insights
- Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the hotel and real estate sectors
- Collect due diligence data on hotel properties and market conditions to inform strategic decisions and negotiations
- Communicate analysis insights to senior management
