About the position

The Financial Advisor at Lighthouse Credit Union is responsible for establishing and nurturing value-added relationships with clients and prospects, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored investment solutions. This role emphasizes personal production goals and customer service objectives across assigned branches or a specific book of business, ensuring clients receive exemplary service and support in achieving their financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and profile prospective clients, review investment goals, prepare presentations, recommend investment products, and follow up on client contacts.
  • Provide investment and insurance solutions based on a comprehensive financial planning approach that considers all assets, goals, time horizons, and risk tolerances.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, effectively manage an existing book of business, and assess customer needs to recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Achieve sales and revenue goals while meeting professional growth and development objectives.
  • Maintain existing client relationships and follow up to manage future investment needs.
  • Organize and assist with branch seminars and ensure appropriate follow-up to these events.
  • Participate in the execution of the local marketing development plan.
  • Adhere to all FINRA and insurance rules and regulations, as well as company policies.

Requirements

  • Three years of financial services sales and service experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate superior member relations skills.
  • Excellent organizational ability.
  • Analytical ability to comprehend complex products, services, and related regulations.
  • Strong people, sales, and relationship skills.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills.
  • Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
  • FINRA Series Securities Industry Essentials Examination, 7, 63 registrations required; IAR (65/66 or appropriate designation).
  • Life, Health & Variable Licenses.
