About the position

The Finance Operations Associate at Haku is a full-time role focused on collaborating with development teams to create impactful software solutions for event management and fundraising. The position emphasizes accountability, ownership of features, and adherence to best practices in software development, all within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with small and nimble development teams on new features and product offerings.
• Develop elegant solutions to complex problems and communicate ideas effectively.
• Take ownership of significant features in the product, ensuring accountability and stewardship.
• Implement best practices throughout the development cycle, focusing on clean code, good test coverage, and rapid deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
• Experience with object-oriented/scripting languages (e.g., Ruby) and web application frameworks (e.g., Ruby on Rails).
• Knowledge and experience in building internal and external APIs and RESTful web services.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with familiarity in front-end frameworks like jQuery, React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team to find creative solutions and ship customer-centric applications.
• Passionate about good design, solid test coverage, and quality code.
• Comfortable taking ownership of the codebase and improving code quality.
