About The Position

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Finance Manager who can help drive financial visibility, accountability, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This role will serve as a key business partner to leadership by providing financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and operational analysis that supports the firm's continued growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, business analysis, or financial management.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and executive presentations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a law firm, professional services firm, or other service-based business.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting in a growth-oriented organization.
  • Knowledge of financial dashboards and business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into firm performance.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, collections, and operating trends.
  • Present financial findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Track actual performance against budget.
  • Analyze variances and provide recommendations.
  • Assist leadership with strategic growth planning and resource allocation.
  • Monitor cash flow and operating liquidity.
  • Develop short-term and long-term cash forecasting models.
  • Evaluate financial impact of staffing, expansion, technology investments, and operational initiatives.
  • Support leadership in financial planning and decision-making.
  • Track and report on case acquisition costs, settlement revenue, referral revenue, department profitability, attorney productivity, staffing efficiency, marketing ROI, intake conversion metrics, and accounts receivable and collections.
  • Develop meaningful scorecards and executive dashboards.
  • Work closely with internal accounting personnel and external CPA partners.
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end processes.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support annual tax preparation and audits.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning discussions.
  • Evaluate operational initiatives from a financial perspective.
  • Assist with compensation planning, bonus programs, and staffing analysis.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for major expenditures.
  • Support implementation of new systems, reporting tools, and financial processes.
