About the position
The Finance Manager will lead financial planning and analysis efforts, focusing on annual planning, rolling forecasts, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is crucial for managing program costs, supporting audits, and providing financial guidance across the organization. The Finance Manager will also mentor and develop teams involved in program control and financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual planning and rolling forecasts for orders, sales, profits, working capital, and cash flow.
- Manage the EAC process, analyzing program costs such as staffing, purchases, and expenditure trends.
- Develop and implement best practices for budgets, EACs, variance tracking, and charge collection.
- Assess risks/opportunities for EACs and financial projections.
- Create cost volumes, risk analyses, and models to support company objectives.
- Support audits (SOX/government regulations) and ensure compliance with RFP requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial support and guidance on regulatory issues (FAR, DFARS, CAS).
- Oversee weekly business reviews and quarterly reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop program control, financial planning, and pricing teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in the Aerospace/Defense Industry.
- Experience with internal and external audits.
