About the position
The Finance role at Amazon's Project Kuiper involves managing the accounting processes for new entities related to the launch of a satellite constellation aimed at providing broadband connectivity. The position requires strong technical accounting skills and collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Managing the on-boarding of new Kuiper entities, ensuring that processes and controls are in place prior to launch
- Involvement in Kuiper EMEA Accounting close processes for Kuiper in multiple legal entities
- Demonstrating strong technical accounting acumen to conclude on accounting treatment of new product launches, projects, and complex transactions
- Business partnering with key stakeholders including Global Accounting team, Kuiper Expansions team, Regulatory team, Finance & Tax
- Developing in-depth knowledge of the Kuiper business and products to facilitate preparation of analytical review for internal and external reporting
- Collaborating with local and global Accounting teams to identify and implement process improvement initiatives
- Participating in preparation and review of statutory financial statements
- Being a strong team player, who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, taking ownership and demonstrating self-initiative
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting or Finance
- Accounting professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA)
Nice-to-haves
- Project Management experience / qualification
- Significant Experience with financial reporting and audit, preferably gained within a Big Four firm
