You'll receive a competitive salary of $80,000 – $105,000 per year (depending on experience), a full-time Monday–Friday schedule (8 AM–5 PM), and robust benefits. Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience (public or private)
  • Full month-end close experience
  • General ledger and reconciliation experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Job costing knowledge
  • GAAP familiarity
  • Proficiency with accrual accounting and revenue recognition fundamentals
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test

Nice To Haves

  • Industry experience in service, construction, or trades
  • Supervisory experience (managing 1–3 people)
  • Experience training junior staff
  • Work-in-progress (WIP) accounting experience
  • Field payroll familiarity
  • Job costing and labor burden allocation knowledge
  • A process improvement mindset

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the month-end close
  • Keep the general ledger sharp and reconciliations airtight
  • Supervise AP/AR clerk(s) with clarity and support
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Dig into the details behind variances
  • Translate numbers into insight as you partner with the CFO on reporting and forecasting
  • Blend hands-on accounting, quality control, and light team leadership
  • Refine journal entries and validate accruals
  • Improve workflows that make the function faster and more accurate
  • Ensure the books are right and that leadership has the confidence and visibility to make great decisions
