About the position

Based at our Reydon Distribution Centre, the Finance Administrator will provide administrative support to the finance department, particularly credit control, accounts payable and duty. Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage incoming queries from colleagues and customers and communicate important information both internally and externally
  • Assist with the management of credit control, accounts payable and duty processes
  • Preparing daily direct debit runs accurately and efficiently
  • Ensuring customer discounts are maintained and applied in line with the negotiations between customer and business development managers
  • Maximize cash flow through the efficient collection of all accounts in line with credit control procedures
  • Assisting with query resolution to ensure payment terms not exceeded and customer service not jeopardized
  • Manage the calculation of credits due and monitor through the process, posting on the customer account and reconciliation as required
  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations
  • Prepare financial reports as required
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within an office or administrative role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks for colleagues and customers
  • Able to adapt and use initiative to problem solve
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and financial software
