About The Position

We have an opportunity for a Final Inspection (FX) Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA. This is a 1st shift role (Monday- Thursday 6:00a-4:30p). The role is expected to perform a wide variety of complex inspection procedures and related paperwork, develop expertise to resolving inspection process problems, set-up and operate equipment, perform periodic preventive maintenance, and maintain all required certifications. Training and/or education in Quality processes or its equivalent, including on the job training in visual, dimensional inspections, receiving, and final inspections. Responsible for signing off product inspected. Must perform daily walk around of equipment, maintain cleanliness of inspection area and be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues. Must be able to obtain Final Inspection Certification within designated timeframe as required by Pratt & Whitney qualifications. Daily information gathering on parts in Quality cells and helping set expectations based on incoming WIP. Communicate with other departments and assist in closure of issues which prevent nonconforming material from disposition and prevent material from final inspection. Identifying nonconformities in process and product, explaining those nonconformities, and writing detailed descriptions of them for Engineering evaluation.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of manufacturing experience in quality and/or inspection
