The Farmer’s Dog is seeking a Field Veterinarian to help revolutionize dog health through proper nutrition, education, and advocacy. This role is unique as it combines education, advocacy, and strategic partnership, working directly with veterinary teams to expand their use of nutrition. The ideal candidate will be an independent and strategic thinker, passionate about advancing canine nutrition and building relationships within the veterinary community.

Responsibilities

  • Engage deeply in the veterinary and canine health community, becoming a trusted thought leader and advocate for dogs.
  • Champion fresh canine nutrition, helping veterinary teams discover how it can revolutionize dog care.
  • Educate and empower veterinarians and hospital teams through engaging conversations, lectures, and direct collaboration.
  • Bring the voice of veterinary professionals to internal teams, shaping product and marketing strategies.
  • Coach and collaborate with internal teams to connect meaningfully with veterinary partners.
  • Partner with leadership to develop innovative strategies that drive change in the veterinary community's approach to nutrition.
  • Invest in personal growth and knowledge, staying current on veterinary and nutrition science.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) and an active veterinary license in good standing.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in companion animal general practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A working vehicle and valid U.S. driver’s license with willingness to travel (up to 60-70% travel).
