About the position

The Automotive Technology Experts (ATE) is seeking an experienced In-Market Field Technician Trainer to provide hands-on training and support for mobile services, including ADAS calibrations and diagnostics. This role is crucial for ensuring that technicians are well-equipped to meet production goals and deliver exceptional customer service. The position involves significant travel and requires a strong background in automotive systems and training experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on training for ATE Mobile Services including ADAS calibrations and diagnostics.
  • Provide ADAS tool training, focusing on protection and maintenance of tools.
  • Implement ATE customer service processes, including effective communication and documentation of services.
  • Guide technicians in meeting or exceeding daily production sales goals.
  • Train Field Technicians on when and how to seek support.
  • Support new markets with training and van setup.
  • Facilitate classroom training for new hires.
  • Provide ongoing remote training via Zoom or Teams for continuous education.
  • Maintain accurate records of all training activities.
  • Collaborate on training projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of automotive background servicing and diagnosing automotive systems.
  • 2+ years working as an ADAS Calibration Technician with advanced knowledge in ADAS and electrical services.
  • 2+ years of training experience (preferred).
  • Strong technological skills, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols related to ADAS technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt training approaches to different audiences and learning styles.
  • Proven training and instructional design skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Professional demeanor with a passion for the industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with various automotive brands and technologies such as Tesla, Ford, and BMW.
  • Knowledge of automotive shop environments and safety protocols.
