About The Position

Join Weatherford as a Wireline Field Engineer to lead advanced wireline logging operations across U.S. oil fields. This dynamic role combines technical expertise with hands-on field work, spending 60% of time on-site acquiring critical geological data using cutting-edge wireline technology. Travel to various domestic locations while working with industry-leading logging tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • Field compact memory logging services at wellsite locations and well integrity logging tools
  • Open Hole (OH) and Cased Hole (CH) field services operations
  • Expertise with resistivity, nuclear-porosity/lithology, micro imaging, monopole/dipole sonic, formation tester, mineralogy, well integrity, casing integrity, and mechanical services
  • Knowledge of operations policies including radiation, lithium batteries, ballistics, pressure control, rig up, data processing, and data delivery
  • Proficiency in winch operation, depth control, tension management, fishing, data acquisition, tool response, and field troubleshooting
  • Experience performing OH and CH memory logging in vertical and high deviated wells using compact logging tools, messenger and impulse systems
  • Remote logging operations capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 4 years of experience in wireline field engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with all skills listed above
  • Ability to travel domestically 60% of the time to oil fields within the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Guide wireline operations using density, neutron porosity, resistivity, sonic, imager, and well integrity tools
  • Operate Compact Memory Logging tools in challenging borehole conditions to capture essential geological data
  • Conduct geological surveys including well logging with auxiliary & conveyance, casing integrity, nuclear-porosity/lithology, micro imaging, formation tester, and production logging tools
  • Perform wireline services in vertical and high deviated wells, managing winch operation, depth control, tension, fishing, and data acquisition
  • Prepare, review, and plot logs, data, and reports for distribution, processing, testing, and archiving
  • Execute wireline cable tests, reheads, and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Calibrate mechanical equipment and devices including tension and depth systems
  • Ensure compliance with company policies covering radiation safety, ballistics, pressure control, and rig-up procedures
  • Plan jobs, prepare tools and equipment, and manage customer relations and data delivery
