About the position
Wastebuilt Environmental Solutions, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to support their service operations in Pacific, WA. The technician will be responsible for performing service and warranty repair work on heavy equipment, primarily at customer sites and occasionally at the facility. The role requires a strong mechanical background, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in the field after initial training.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to perform service and warranty repair work.
- Conduct inspections and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems of vehicles.
- Maintain vehicle functional condition by addressing operator complaints and performing necessary repairs.
- Verify vehicle serviceability through test drives and adjustments.
- Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine and safety standards.
- Maintain vehicle appearance and records by cleaning and documenting service and repairs.
- Keep shop equipment operational by troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance.
- Participate in educational opportunities to increase job knowledge.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a Truck or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- CNG certification strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic components.
- General mechanical abilities with Diesel Trucks or Heavy Construction Equipment.
- Good customer service skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Refuse (Waste Truck) experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in welding and fabricating.
