About the position

The Field Service Technician is responsible for executing job-specific assignments related to integrated products manufactured by Freeman Enclosure Systems, LLC. This role involves working at customer sites or the Batavia plant, coordinating with personnel and subcontractors to meet project demands, ensuring compliance with company standards, and maintaining effective communication with various departments. The technician will also be involved in troubleshooting, onsite checks, and ensuring timely reporting of expenses and time.

Responsibilities

  • Assess project specific resource needs and coordinate assignments with personnel and subcontractors.
  • Communicate core technical job requirements and ensure understanding of tasks and tools required.
  • Support planning and organizing job assignments to ensure effective asset return.
  • Minimize project costs through effective utilization of equipment and materials.
  • Ensure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while exceeding customer expectations.
  • Execute assignments from start to finish in compliance with company standards.
  • Participate in job preparation meetings to discuss work scope, specifications, budgets, and safety requirements.
  • Communicate with other departments to assure proper coordination of activities.
  • Review task-related engineering documentation and update administration for follow-up.
  • Utilize communication tools to provide daily status updates.
  • Ensure timely and accurate time and expense reporting.
  • Expedite and resolve issues regarding material and equipment availability.
  • Maintain inventory records of materials and equipment returned from sites.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years field-related experience.
  • Well-developed organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 10, NFPA70E, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
  • Ability to carry out instructions in written or oral form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Ability to read company manuals and reports, and speak with poise and confidence in English.
  • High School Diploma required; College preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in technical support.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
