About The Position

The Field Service Technician - Level II is responsible for rigging up and rigging down Scout and third-party equipment on customer fracking locations. This role ensures all connections are made successfully and verifies the full functionality of the equipment. The technician must operate safely, adhere to company policies and safety standards, and perform critical assembly lifts with a forklift during rig-up and rig-down operations. Responsibilities include assembling monobore equipment using hydraulic torque wrenches according to API torque specifications, rigging up low pressure manifold systems, rigging up butterfly valves and air actuated systems, and prepping API-type connections. The technician will also conduct field inventory, collect asset numbers, verify torque connections, and visually inspect equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damaged products. Maintaining Scout-owned tooling is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have worked at least three months as a Level I Field Service Technician with Scout or equivalent role at another company.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal assistance.
  • Ability to take initiative and learn new skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at times.
  • Ability to walk around field locations and shop facilities for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and other productivity equipment in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Verify all torque connections and ensure full functionality of Scout and third-party equipment.
  • Visual inspection of equipment and report any malfunctioning or damaged products.
  • Clean and maintain Scout-owned tooling.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as appropriate to the rig up and down process.
