About the position

The Field Service Specialist at Huber Technology Inc. is responsible for providing professional service and support to customers by performing installations, maintenance, and repairs of wastewater treatment equipment. This role emphasizes industrial-mechanical repair and requires adherence to established procedures while representing the company. The specialist will work closely with customers to ensure optimal operation of equipment and provide training and technical support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, configure, test, maintain, evaluate, troubleshoot, pre-commission, commission, and repair wastewater equipment.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance or repair of equipment.
  • Conduct installation of equipment at customer sites and provide pre-installation assistance.
  • Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation for service preparation.
  • Provide on-site training to customer personnel according to Huber Technology standards.
  • Build professional customer relationships through solution-oriented communication and service.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and spare parts groups to resolve escalated issues.
  • Document all activities and provide reports to the Director of Service in a timely manner.
  • Ensure safe working practices on site and report any health & safety breaches.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good order and ensure they are calibrated as per company requirements.
  • Assist in manufacturing or engineering projects as needed.
  • Educate customers on the basic operation of their equipment.
  • Perform welding activities as required at the shop or customer site.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent mechanical-industrial repair/service work experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a related field, with wastewater experience being a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a DOT physical for driving fleet vehicles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to read and write in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills for producing required reports.
  • Experience with forklift operation or willingness to be trained.
