About the position

Calgon Carbon | A Kuraray Company is seeking a dedicated Field Service Representative I to join our team in Southern California. This position is crucial in delivering exceptional customer service and support related to our activated carbon products and services. As a Field Service Representative, you will be responsible for the direct implementation of on-site field services, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality of service and support. This role is integral to our customer support and service value proposition, which is a contractual obligation to our clients. In this position, you will engage in various tasks, including scheduling and documenting daily on-site activities using the FSWO database. You will also be responsible for the start-up of carbon adsorption equipment and providing customer training on its proper use, guided by the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manual. Your role will involve the removal and installation of carbon and other media, as well as the maintenance, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of carbon adsorption equipment. This hands-on position requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that our products and services meet the high standards expected by our customers. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, with the possibility of weekend work when required. Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and documentation of daily on-site activities using FSWO database and work process.
  • Carbon adsorption equipment start-up and customer training on proper use through O&M manual and work process.
  • Carbon and other media removal and installation.
  • Carbon adsorption equipment installation and removal.
  • Carbon adsorption equipment maintenance, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Driver's License is required.
  • 0-2 years (One year minimum) work experience in the industry is required.
  • Two years working in the industry is preferred.
