About the position

The Field Project Manager at Edward Don & Company is responsible for managing the installation of foodservice equipment projects within specified timelines and budgets. This role emphasizes excellent customer service and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The position requires overseeing project documentation, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage installation of equipment to assigned projects within timeline and budget.
  • Conduct preliminary site walks to obtain field dimensions and verify site readiness.
  • Understand and read project drawings using Bluebeam & Plangrid.
  • Oversee and adhere to approved jobsite timelines.
  • Review and manage project documents and budgets from start to finish.
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries and installations according to the project schedule.
  • Oversee the delivery and installation process to ensure completion per specifications.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal personnel, installation department, general contractors, subcontractors, and customers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of one year of applicable Construction Management or Project Management experience in a Foodservice Equipment capacity, or a High School diploma/GED with 5-7 years of applicable experience.
  • Skills in motivation and mediation to ensure team success.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and control risks.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze and evaluate unforeseen situations.
  • Negotiation skills to resolve disputes.
  • Cost management skills related to budgets and constraints.
  • Understanding of the Project Management Triangle: Cost, Time, and Scope.
  • Ability to create and control project schedules and task lists while communicating project objectives.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
