About the position

The Field Marketing Specialist 2 at Sodexo will enhance the customer experience through strategic marketing initiatives aimed at driving sales and improving communication with students. This role involves overseeing event coordination, engaging with the student body for feedback, managing social media channels, and collaborating with clients to create effective advertisements. The position is integral to the flagship campus of the University of Maine, serving over 3200 residential students and the broader Orono community.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitability through effective marketing strategies and service implementation.
• Draft communications to students to enhance program knowledge.
• Oversee event coordination and marketing activities.
• Engage with the student body to gather feedback and suggestions.
• Support website and social media channels to improve outreach.
• Analyze data to inform marketing strategies and decisions.
• Collaborate with managers, clients, and district leadership to maintain business relationships.

Requirements

• Strong marketing background and writing skills.
• Strategic leadership and talent management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and project management skills.
• Strong computer skills, preferably with experience in Scala.
• Extensive experience in PowerPoint for presentations.
• Team development skills and client relationship management.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage workload effectively.
• Preferred experience in contract food services.
