About the position

We're looking for a technically skilled, people-friendly Field Support Technician who thrives in dynamic environments and isn’t afraid to hit the road — or the skies. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with hardware, and representing a company with pride and professionalism. Travel is a major component of this job. If you're not comfortable flying regularly, navigating airports, or working out of state for days at a time — this may not be the right fit. When you're not traveling, you’ll be based at our Canton, OH office providing remote support and assisting with staging and prep work.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure networking equipment, IP cameras, and computer hardware
  • Run low-voltage cabling and provide power setup for system installations
  • Provide technical support via phone, email, and remote tools
  • Represent our company professionally during onsite visits and work directly with customers
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues across a variety of platforms
  • Guide non-technical users through setup, training, and support
  • Document site visits, resolutions, and recurring issues
  • Travel frequently, sometimes with short notice – including commercial air travel
  • Work outdoors and in active industrial environments in all types of weather

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, networking (switches, IP addressing, routers), and IP-based systems
  • Hands-on experience or willingness to learn cabling, mounting hardware, and low-voltage power
  • Strong interpersonal skills – able to speak clearly with customers of all technical levels
  • A professional presence and the ability to handle onsite situations independently
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
  • No hesitation flying frequently – you must be comfortable with regular commercial air travel
  • A valid passport or willingness to obtain one (occasional international travel may be required)
  • Based locally and able to work in-office when not on the road

Nice-to-haves

  • CompTIAA+, Network+, or similar certifications
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with access control, security, or scale systems

Benefits

  • Full-time W2 position
  • Travel across the U.S. while solving real-world technical challenges
  • Be part of a tight-knit team that values quality, service, and innovation
  • Work hands-on with a mix of hardware, networking, and customer support
  • Clear growth path into senior technical or project roles
