About the position

The Field Erection Crew Member at Fabcon Precast is responsible for performing general construction labor tasks to assist in the erection of precast concrete panels. This role requires working as part of a crew under the direction of an Erection Crew Foreperson, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely while adhering to established safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Completes general construction labor tasks necessary to erect precast concrete panels.
• Takes work direction from Erection Crew Foreperson.
• May perform work of a miscellaneous nature as directed by foreperson.
• Uses materials/supplies in an efficient manner.
• Handles equipment in a responsible manner.
• Follows established safety procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Construction experience
• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions
• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct at all times
• Ability to work from heights, including but not limited to ladders and aerial work platforms
• Ability to obtain membership to a local union
• General knowledge of construction practices
• Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
• Ability to travel extensively (50% of the time or more, including overnights) and work overtime as needed

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of construction or manual labor experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Welding experience
