Company Vehicle Provided We are looking for a talented individual…to join our team as a Field Energy Tech. You will act as a local on-site program and company representative to small business and commercial customers. Tasks include the installation of energy-efficient equipment, conduct energy efficiency (re)audits, pre, and post-installation verifications, and other technical data gathering activities through a defined territory. Support Account Managers in their efforts to influence stakeholders, to sell and/or install energy efficiency retrofits, or new construction. Provides technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement in accordance with client specifications. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, and recommends solutions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 21+ with a clean valid drivers license
  • Background in customer - facing role is a plus
  • Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record.
  • Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
  • If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.
  • Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on commercial energy audits at real-world business locations, helping customers uncover energy-saving opportunities in approachable, less complex buildings.
  • Build strong relationships by engaging directly with customers and contractors, capturing insights, and ensuring every project meets program expectations.
  • Take ownership in the field by installing energy efficiency solutions that make a tangible impact.
  • Learn by doing as you document inspections, customer conversations, and contractor interactions, ensuring projects meet program requirements with support from experienced team members.
  • Travel throughout your assigned territory, offering variety and independence in your day-to-day work.
