About The Position

The Outreach Team is a premier national field firm that partners with organizations working on critical societal issues. They are hiring Lead & Deputy Directors to manage remote voter contact offices. These Directors will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing teams of remote callers and texters to engage potential voters about upcoming elections and encourage them to vote. The role involves building a remote office from the ground up, leading by example through training and direct outreach, communicating goals, and managing campaign reporting. The position aims to elect officials who will support working Americans by educating voters and increasing turnout in key states. This is a remote role requiring candidates to work from home with strong internet and cell service, and be comfortable being on camera for meetings. The hiring period is from early July through November 2026. Candidates cannot be hired in AL, HI, ID, KS, MT, ND, SD, UT, WV.

Requirements

  • Experience leading calling or texting operations, ideally for a political program
  • Leadership experience, ability to motivate, grow, and manage a large team.
  • Eagerness to lead from the front and call or text several days a week.
  • Extreme attention to detail and a proven ability to instill that quality in others.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong passion for community organizing and fostering civic engagement.
  • Track record of equity and inclusion.
  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Comfortable working remotely over Zoom
  • Must be able to work from home, be comfortable spending a significant amount on time on camera in meetings, and have a strong wifi connection and cell service.

  • Experience with phone- and/or text-banking software (CallHub is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 40-50 hourly staff who will be calling or texting voters across the country to speak with them about the upcoming elections
  • Set goals and hold staff accountable
  • Train and provide ongoing motivation and support to staff
  • Identify, promote, and train a leadership team
  • Build a diverse team where staff feel respected, while fostering a culture of equity and justice
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure integrity of the work
  • Make calls or send texts a few days a week yourself to lead by example and help drive office goals
  • Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all staff
  • Manage administrative duties, including reporting data, record keeping, processing payroll, and distribution of materials
