About the position

The Field Construction Coordinator at Ledcor plays a crucial role in supporting the construction and engineering teams in building telecommunications networks. This position involves assisting with documentation, data compilation, and project tracking, ensuring that all activities align with safety practices and project milestones. The coordinator will also engage in various field and office activities, contributing to the overall success of the projects.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Construction and Engineering teams with field data collection and project milestone tracking.
• Compiling and processing general construction documentation including as-builts, redlines, and splice documentation.
• Coordinating with Engineering and Construction vendors for daily operations activities.
• Supporting the subcontract and supplier management process and reviewing invoices and progress claims.
• Requesting materials from the warehouse and documenting material consumption.
• Data entry for daily production, employee timesheets, and equipment timesheets.
• Assisting the Superintendent with pre-construction activities and compiling constructability notes.
• Promoting Ledcor's safety culture by implementing the Project Specific Safety Program.

Requirements

• Minimum of three to five years of construction experience.
• Combination of work experience and/or technical training in an industry-related trade certification or education program.
• Previous experience as a Coordinator or Data Entry specialist is an asset.
• General understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with scheduling software is an asset.
• Proficient with Quickbase, Bluebeam Review Extreme, Office 365, SharePoint, Google Drive/Docs/Sheets, and GPS Photo Apps.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with telecommunications network construction.
