About the position

The Field Clinical Engineer at NeuroPace will play a crucial role in advancing the commercial adoption of the company's innovative RNS System, which is designed to transform the lives of individuals suffering from epilepsy. This position involves providing high-level technical support, managing patient education, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of NeuroPace products in clinical settings. The role requires a dynamic individual who can communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a field team.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a field team to advance the commercial adoption of NeuroPace products both technically and clinically.
  • Manage patients through all phases of the clinical process and educate them on the features and benefits of NeuroPace products.
  • Work with customers and Therapy Consultants to implement Patient Education programs at key accounts.
  • Support patient education events including EFA meetings and support groups in collaboration with Therapy Consultants.
  • Provide support for sales and marketing initiatives and programs by being an expert on NeuroPace marketing messaging.
  • Facilitate the conduct of clinical trials in a professional and ethical manner with clinical investigators and NeuroPace personnel.
  • Perform on-site training for physicians and allied health personnel.
  • Present technical material to customers in both small and large group settings clearly and accurately.
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to all applicable regulations, standards, and requirements.
  • Provide detailed feedback and reporting regarding product improvement, potential future products, and any product issues or problems.
  • Support and attend medical conferences, regional and national symposia, and investigator meetings.
  • Assist in-house personnel (engineering, clinical, manufacturing, and legal) as requested to achieve company goals.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Be available via mobile phone at all times, including nights and weekends, except when on vacation or when alternate coverage has been arranged.

Requirements

  • BS degree or higher in a technical, scientific, or health field with a minimum of 2+ years previous experience in a field position.
  • Ability to clearly present technical material.
  • Advanced user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with patients, physicians, nurses, and individuals at all levels within the company.
  • Ability to maneuver in the operating room environment during sterile surgical procedures.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Valid US Driver License and ability to drive to accounts within 200 miles.
