About the position

As a Field Auto Adjuster at Allstate, you will be integral to the auto claims handling process, conducting assessments and writing estimates directly at customer locations, including homes, repair shops, and tow yards. This role emphasizes customer service, effective communication, and negotiation skills, as you will interact with customers and vendors to ensure a smooth claims process. You will work in a dynamic environment, handling various types of claims and utilizing technology to document and manage your work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Write estimates for auto claims directly at customer homes, repair shops, or tow yards.
• Investigate casualty claims by reviewing damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
• Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and video chat to guide them through the claims process.
• Negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, and third-party carriers.
• Utilize various tools and platforms to manage claims in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of claims in the company's system.

Requirements

• 18 months+ experience in auto collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail for writing precise estimates.
• Comfortable using technology for claims processing.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with virtual inspections and remote claims handling.
• Familiarity with insurance policies and claims processes.
