About the position

The Fiber Optic Technician I at Circet USA is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service in various Outside Plant areas, including customer premises and fiber huts. This role involves troubleshooting fiber optic issues, digging holes, burying drops, and making necessary repairs to restore fiber services. The technician must build strong customer relationships, coordinate with subcontractors, and be available for on-call duties during specified times.

Responsibilities

• Digging up direct bury closures
• Physically placing, removing, or modifying non-working equipment or small excavation of buried splice enclosures or fiber optic terminals
• Pulling fiber optic cable as needed for repairs
• Installing or removing equipment installed in a fiber optic hut
• Providing updates to service tickets into Circet USA and/or customer ticketing system
• Adhering to safety regulations and participating in job site safety/hazard analysis

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical degree preferred
• Proficient use of Microsoft programs and applications
• Proficient use of IOS and/or Android applications
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Exhibit self-awareness and a tendency for continuing education and self-improvement
