About the position

The Business Automation Python Engineer at the Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency by developing automation solutions that streamline day-to-day operations. This position requires collaboration with operational teams to identify pain points and inefficiencies, ensuring a world-class customer experience while supporting the organization's growth and adaptability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation solutions to streamline day-to-day operations of FRFS.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify operational pain points and inefficiencies.
  • Participate in agile activities as needed.
  • Support and promote Continual Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives for FRFS.
  • Adapt to multiple roles to support a growing organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant work experience, or 10+ years relevant work experience.
  • Solid understanding of command line based operating systems (Linux command line, Windows command line).
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Selenium, VBA Macro, Powershell preferred).
  • Experience with multiple methods of automating within a large enterprise (custom development, UiPath RPA, Power Automate, etc.).
  • Direct experience in the deployment of ServiceNow, Salesforce, Dynatrace, or similar tools within a large enterprise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly gather, analyze, and synthesize information.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Grafana, Tableau, AWS QuickSight).
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment and handle multiple competing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with payments systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO20022 messages.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Knowledge of Amazon Cloudwatch and data lake.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Javascript, HTML, & CSS.
  • Experience consuming REST APIs from within a scripting language.
