About the position

The Federal Marketing Manager - Communications and Engagement at CDM Smith is a senior role responsible for leading communication and engagement activities within the Federal Services Unit (FSU). This position involves developing strategies and content to promote services to US Government clients and industry partners, managing campaigns to support federal business growth, and coordinating client engagement activities. The role requires collaboration with sales and marketing teams, overseeing multimedia content creation, and attending key conferences to enhance communication of services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with FSU management, sales team, and marketing colleagues to develop short-term and long-term strategies for communications and engagement programs.
  • Utilize various platforms for client outreach, webinars, internal and external communications, website content, social media, print and electronic media, and conferences.
  • Consult routinely with FSU sales management to discuss anticipated changes in strategy and new issues impacting marketing and communications programs.
  • Recommend new approaches and programs in response to changes in the industry.
  • Maintain awareness of communication and engagement trends in the industry.
  • Oversee the implementation of communications and engagement campaigns and programs.
  • Maintain FSU's calendar of conferences and develop annual budgets for conference-related spending.
  • Attend key conferences to support the communication of services and capabilities.
  • Determine key performance metrics to measure success and establish change management communications techniques.
  • Modify programs and information flow based on results and review all campaigns for synergies.
  • Track the long-term impact of programs through sales, pipeline, leads, and customer perception measures.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of assigned staff, providing feedback on performance appraisals and overseeing development and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 12 years of related experience with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required, contingent on specific duties and responsibilities.
