About the position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is seeking a leader for the Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) to manage user identity and access management, ensuring compliance with security protocols and enhancing the overall security posture of the organization. This role involves overseeing security testing, coordinating audit requests, and driving process improvements within a collaborative and innovative culture. The position is integral to the mission of transforming the payments landscape in the United States through the FedNow Service.

Responsibilities

  • Management and support of user identity and access management including validation and tracking of background screening; user access provisioning and deprovisioning; user role reviews and updates.
  • Execute periodic compliance certifications and reviews related to continuous monitoring requirements.
  • Manage security testing calendar: schedule and coordinate periodic security testing engagements such as annual security continuous monitoring testing, penetration testing, and other applicable testing engagements.
  • Assist with the coordination and management of security findings.
  • Coordinate security training enrollments and follow-ups, providing periodic reviews and reports on completion rates.
  • Assist in developing, gathering, and contributing to data-driven performance and risk indicators related to compliance and operational activities.
  • Support audit requests and activities including coordinating audit evidence gathering and submission during audit engagements.
  • Continuously assist the broader security team in identifying process and control improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of job-related experience.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and industry-standard security risk management frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO, FedRAMP).
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, and/or CCSP are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities.
  • Proven team management and project management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and generate effective solutions.
  • Experience working with the Agile framework is highly desirable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to explore and learn new areas and concepts.
