About the position
The position involves assisting with daily farm operations at Land Grain Farms LLC, focusing on the cultivation and maintenance of crops such as corn, soybeans, and wheat. The role requires operating various farm equipment and performing manual labor tasks, ensuring the well-being of livestock, and maintaining farm machinery and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Operate various farm equipment including combines, tractors, and trucks for planting, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing, and harvesting crops.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Perform maintenance on machinery, including changing fluids, rotating tires, and cleaning grain bins.
- Conduct ground maintenance tasks such as weed eating and mowing.
- Maintain and clean the shop area.
- Check the well-being of pigs and ensure proper barn ventilation in hog confinement work.
- Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to operate farm equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience with manual labor and physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance and repair.
