About the position
The Farm Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating various types of farm equipment, including high-horsepower tractors and bulk trucks, while performing general maintenance when not operating equipment. This full-time position requires teamwork and adaptability to changing farming duties, primarily focusing on precision agriculture controls during planting and harvest seasons.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of farm equipment such as tractors, bulk trucks, and conveyors.
- Perform general maintenance on equipment when not in operation.
- Run a spreader and operate a rogator with precision ag controls.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Active Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience troubleshooting and making minor equipment repairs and adjustments.
- Basic math and reading skills to follow color-coded product instructions.
- Experience with various types of farm equipment preferred.
- Ability to navigate technology such as an iPad and smartphone.
- Positive mindset with the ability to adapt to changing plans and duties.
