About the position

The Farm Equipment Mechanic position involves servicing and repairing agricultural equipment, specifically semi-trucks and other machinery, during the post-harvest season. This is a temporary position with a focus on ensuring the proper operation of equipment through detailed maintenance and repair processes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and service semi-trucks and agricultural equipment.
• Follow manufacturer's annual maintenance procedures.
• Disassemble and reassemble major components for repairs.
• Replace bearings, lubricants, filters, and worn components.
• Clean machines prior to maintenance work.
• Lift and hold heavy machine parts during reassembly.
• Drive to town to pick up mechanical supplies.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Experience in servicing and repairing agricultural equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures for machinery.
• Ability to perform complex mechanical tasks with attention to detail.
