Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and 1 year of experience working with children and families OR (in rural Iowa) Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience OR (in rural Iowa) 4 years combined education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Certification as a Parenting Instructor

Responsibilities

  • Providing in-home support and teaching practical skills to strengthen families.
  • Connecting families with community resources such as schools, healthcare, and social services.
  • Offering crisis intervention and guidance when needed.
  • Building strong relationships with families and collaborating with professionals like teachers, doctors, and social workers.
  • Developing service plans, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
