This role serves families and individuals experiencing housing crises, those at immediate risk of homelessness, and people seeking to reunite with family members as an alternative to entering the shelter system. A Family Reunification and Diversion Specialist in homeless services works to prevent homelessness and reunite families by providing crisis intervention, problem-solving assistance, and coordinated support services. Diversion avoids the trauma of homelessness for families and individuals by helping them identify immediate alternative housing arrangements and by connecting them to services and financial resources in the community. This position will work closely with community partners and entry points across the Coordinated Entry system to divert individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis from being homeless.
