About the position
The Nurse Practitioner position at a Coachella-based outpatient clinic focuses on improving individual and community health. The role involves providing quality care to patients, conducting wellness visits, and maintaining comprehensive health programs for families. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient primary care and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provides quality care to patients within the scope of practice outlined by state or federal law.
- Meets 80% or more of the established productivity standards.
- Participates in after-hour call as scheduled.
- Maintains a program of comprehensive health for the family unit, including preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health.
- Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures to assess and evaluate patients' clinical problems and healthcare needs.
- Refers patients to other available services or specialists to meet needs where appropriate.
Requirements
- Current California Nurse Practitioner license
- Nurse Practitioner Certification from either the ANCC or AANP
- Current DEA licensure
- Active CPR Certification
- 1-2 years of NP experience (preferred)
- Experience conducting Annual Wellness Visits
- Spanish language skills (preferred)
